"If you are going to Garmischparten-Kirche or Oberammergau, staying in Ettal is the way to go. The views are outstanding and the Kloster across the street is beautiful. Even though the rooms do not have AC and the window only opens up a crack, we loved it. To be fair, we couldn’t find a hotel in the area that has AC. We stayed there at then end of May and the room cooled off by morning. Neverthess, we loved the..."

"Charming old hotel. Standard room was quite nice and spacious. Breakfast was diverse and good quality. Restaurant closed too early so I did not get the chance to try it (by 9 pm on a Saturday!) The gym is small with a C2 rower, bike, cross trainer and an adjustable pulley with a stack of weights. Zero free weights or benches. Bonus points for stallbar and honourable retro mention for a power twister."

"Great stay for the long weekend of the Labour Day 2026. Nice, full of light and very clean room. Amazing breakfast buffet… with great scrambled eggs and bacon. We had got the pleasure to dine in two evenings in their restaurant, too… it’s been delightful! Tks also for the amazing job done by the personnel at the lobby."
